When Life Hands You Lemons...

By Jill Lynch, Editor & Publisher, Macaroni Kid Cincinnati Metro June 6, 2012

Spending 14 hours stuck on a plane gives one a lot of time to sit back and think... think about life, think about the family, think about every aspect of every day.  And that is exactly what happened to me as I was returning from Tokyo this weekend.

Have you ever noticed that when you have that kind of time, your mind first goes to what's wrong?  What have I forgotten? What do I regret?
Why is that?  I spent hours in this frame of mind.  I could have filled a bushel with all of the lemons in my life I found in my head.  But, as I take a step back and careful look, I have SO much to be thankful for, and the reason I have many self-identified lemons is because I am committed to so much.  And my intention is to take each and every one of those 'lemon' areas in my life, and turn it into Lemonade!

I hope that each of you will take a step back when you are struck with a lemon in your life (however big or small it may be), and try to find a way to make it into Lemonade.  In this spirit, I have a great national event that I want to share with you today...
