Start with any flavor of prepared and frosted cupcake.
To make the marshmallow flowers:
- Use scissors to cut large marshmallows into 4 pieces/petals.
- Dip one side of each petal into colored sugar of your choice.
- Arrange petals on top of cupcakes.
- Put a medium sized dot of frosting in the middle of each flower.
- Using small spoon, sprinkle yellow colored sugar on frosting in center of the flower.
You can also use fresh fruit (blueberry, raspberry), candy (gum drops, M&Ms, Skittles), or a cut mini-marshmallow for the center of the cupcake as well.
